Our history starts with the Hydraulic Sawmill which Yahya TEVER, head and father of Tever Family, established in Kanlıçay - Adapazarı ,after emigrating from Trabzon in early 1900s. This period dating back before the history of the Republic of Turkey is the first time the Tever Family was acquainted with forest products industry.
The surname Tever derives from the name Tevor. In the time period dating back to 100 hundred years before, deadwoods of the spruce type in Anatolia were called Tevor by the local people, late grandfather Mehmet (our grandfather; father of Yahya Tever) was given this name. Then, after the introduction of the surname act, the name Tevor was adopted as the surname, Tever.
Most of the members of Tever Family which has a great number of members ,continue to carry on the old profession today as independent from each other. Therefore the name Tever is celebrated as a trademark in forest products industry when it comes to wood.
And Teverpan MDF Levha Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş owned by Salih Zeki Tever and Mehmet Ali Tever, who are grandsons of Yahya Tever and sons of Salih Tever, has been a constant locomotive praising the value of Tever brand in forest product industry.
The activities of brothers, Salih Zeki Tever and Mehmet Ali Tever which have started with the old profession of their granddad is carried on with the factories producing MDF, Chipboard and Door Skin Panel with the most up-to-date and state-of-the-art technologies. |
